Silverdale site back in action - Strict protocols must be observed

Northpine’s distribution centre in Silverdale, Auckland is back into action under Covid-19 Alert Level 3 conditions until at least 4 October. The Waipu sawmill has been processing logs since the 3rd of September.

General manager Bruce Larsen says it has been enormously frustrating waiting for Auckland to go down from Level 4 to Level 3, which allows manufacturers to operate with strict protocols for everyone’s safety, including contactless pickup, the wearing of approved face coverings and physical distancing.

“Our first priority has been to process orders received before the mid-August lockdown,” Larsen says. “We then start processing orders received during lockdown and then new orders. We ask all customers to please be patient and observe these strict conditions, to avoid disappointment.

  • Access to the Foundry Road site will be strictly controlled. You are UNABLE to just turn up without a pre-allocated time.

  • Please turn up on time or you may be turned away.
  • Customers will be required to wear an approved face covering, register their contact details for contact tracing purposes and observe physical distancing practices and other safety measures. Please follow all instructions.
  • Upon arrival, please park at the STOP sign and report to the indicated window at the office. You will be assisted with further instructions.
