Silverdale site back in action - Strict protocols must be observed

Northpine’s distribution centre in Silverdale, Auckland is back into action under Covid-19 Alert Level 3 conditions until at least 4 October. The Waipu sawmill has been processing logs since the 3rd of September.

General manager Bruce Larsen says it has been enormously frustrating waiting for Auckland to go down from Level 4 to Level 3, which allows manufacturers to operate with strict protocols for everyone’s safety, including contactless pickup, the wearing of approved face coverings and physical distancing.

“Our first priority has been to process orders received before the mid-August lockdown,” Larsen says. “We then start processing orders received during lockdown and then new orders. We ask all customers to please be patient and observe these strict conditions, to avoid disappointment.
