In September 2019 Northpine marked 20 years in the timber manufacturing industry by announcing sponsorship of an annual Forestry Vocational Scholarship, to be administered by Northland Wood Council.

Announcing the scholarship at the 2019 Northland Forestry Awards, general manager Bruce Larsen said the company intends to encourage individuals to continue their education and development. “Training and personal growth enables people to see that there are worthwhile careers – not just jobs - to be had in our great industry,” he said. “Careers that bring greater achievements, greater success and prosperity to Northland.”
